Plaque Blast Review| Grain Alcohol re-SOLVED!

Throughout this site, I have made quite an extensive resources especially with regards to dental care to our beloved friends. I knew for sure how periodontitis (teeth and gum diseases) could seriously affect our dogs health and that’s why it really makes sense that we know how to care for our dog’s teeth.

The issue whether to use commercial dental sprays/gels (i.e., Plaque Blast, Plaque Attack) I think does not make sense. What matters most is how could we effectively use such oral sprays specifically made for our pets to promote dental health and save our pets and pockets from costly dental expenses.

Dr. George’s Plaque Blast is the all-new addition in our featured dog oral sprays. It’s good to know that we have here another option to choose from. However, I’d like to note in this particular post some good advantages I found with plaque blast particularly with customer value.

Simple spraying and assisted brushing (but not necessary) could prevent build-up of bacteria that cause bad breath. As these microorganisms continue to accumulate, plaque and tartar also build up which may eventually lead to serious complications.

With oral sprays specifically made for our dog’s teeth and gums, you’ll be helping to control tartar, plaque, and bacterial build-up. Also, it allows to freshen your pet’s breath, and keeping them healthy, too!

these features stand out well with Plaque Blast

  1. Unlike with other oral care products, Plaque Blast contains no alcohol. The alcohol that is usually incorporated to some dental sprays is an ethyl alcohol or grain alcohol. If I am not mistaken, ethyl alcohol is very useful in the pharmaceutical industry as it helps pharmacologics manufacturers in using alcohol as a low-cost yet effective penetration-enhancer, disinfectant, solvent as well as disinfectant. However, dogs are known to have a much lower tolerance to alcohol (much lower than humans are) according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) website).  While I am not aware of a documented case of alcohol intoxication while using dental sprays in dogs, needless to say that alcohol intoxication could lead to vomiting, loss of coordination, disorientation and stupor. Indeed, as a veterinarian and research,Dr. George must have taken this considerably and so designed Plaque Blast to be alcohol FREE!
  2. The way I looked at it, as an activator-based dental spray, it is worth to mention here that you need not to worry if you are not yet able to use the spray when you received your bottles, as long as you have not opened it yet. This is especially true as you will be receiving another bottle for free when you grab the special internet offer. However, after you have opened the bottle and have added the activator, I better suggest that you start using it to your dog and just store Plaque Blast at room temperature when not in use.
  3. Dental sprays such as Plaque Blast and Plaque Attack have significantly gained favor from a number of pet owners as they are in the form of a spray (other dental products are gel form or as soluble powder, to mention). This means, they are very easy to use and apply to our dogs of various sizes and size differences.

Facts and Figures

We always hear this. Dogs and cats are not resistant to dental problems. In fact, there are reports saying that at least 80% of our dogs and 70% of cats will likely encounter some forms of teeth and gum problems before they reach the age of three. If we are not careful enough with the way we manage our pets (i.e., feeding, exercise, treats and toys we give), it will be too easy for them to develop such oral problems. In fact, a common bad breath may already signify some serious complication inside our dog’s system.

But, we still have the good news! Periodontal diseases are essentially preventable. Good coordination with your veterinarian as well as proper care and management from us owners will not only help maintain our pet’s good help but would invariably extend their productive life.

I encourage you to read on whatever resources we have here in our site on how we could effectively use oral sprays to our pets.
